Kids Bathrooms

16 Jun

How great is this kiddies bathroom! The trough sink is perfect for cleaning up at the end of the day with no line ups needed! It’s a subtle kids bathroom that can easily be transformed into the adult bath with the switch of a couple towels, and is perfectly suited to an old character home. Finding the sink may be a feat but once you scrounge a cheap one up you can repaint it to original lustre…well worth the trouble!

A Little Hit of Wallpaper

10 Jun

I love this room so much…the entire house actually. It’s Amy Butler’s home and you can check out the whole place here. She is well known for her amazing colorful graphic designs which can be found in the form of wallpaper, fabrics, etc. This room shows that a living room can be cozy, colorful, and contemporary. The great wall of wallpaper in the back brings just enough color to a relatively neutral palette made up of simple furnishings, while not over powering the room which bold prints sometimes do. It’s really subtle and interesting…and the architecture of the home isn’t too bad either;).

White Kitchen Appliances

1 Jun

So who would have thunk? White appliances are coming back with a vengeance! They really are all the rage right now and make for a really sleek look in a kitchen. This DOESN’T mean you should all run out to your local reuse it center and and try to find a goodie from the 90’s. The secret to pulling this look off is finding the new models with contemporary lines (and of course great energy saving attributes). I am crushing hard on this fridge.
